Concrete Steps & Stoops in Warminster & Bucks County

Entry steps take more abuse than any other concrete around the house — foot traffic, ice melt, freeze-thaw, and water running off the roof. First Class Concrete repairs and replaces front steps, back stoops, basement entry steps, and landing areas across Warminster and Bucks County so they are safe, even, and meet the walkway cleanly.

Concrete Steps by First Class Concrete LLC in Bucks County, PA

Safe steps start with consistent rise and run

A step that is even half an inch taller than the one before it is the one people trip on. When we rebuild steps we lay out the rise and run so every step matches, the landing is sized correctly for the door swing, and the top step meets the threshold at the right height.

Steps need a proper footing below the frost line or they will heave and pull away from the house. We pour steps on solid footings and tie them into the foundation where appropriate so they stay put through the winters.

Repair or replace?

Chipped nosings and surface spalling can often be repaired. Steps that are cracked through, pulling away from the house, or sinking usually need to be replaced — patching them is money spent twice. Chris will give you a straight answer at the estimate.

We also set railings, pour matching landings and walks, and finish steps to match adjacent brick, stone, or stamped concrete.

How it goes

From the first call to the final walk-through.

  1. Tell Chris about the job

Call or send the form with the property location, what is there now, approximate size, and a few photos if you have them.

  2. On-site estimate

Chris comes out, measures the area, checks access, grade, and drainage, and walks through options and finishes with you.

  3. Schedule and prep

Once the scope is agreed, we set a realistic date, handle removal and base prep, and set forms to the right slope and elevation.

  4. Pour, finish, walk-through

The crew pours and finishes the concrete, cuts control joints, cleans up the site, and walks the finished work with you.

FAQ

Steps questions before you call

Can you repair my steps instead of replacing them?

Sometimes. Surface damage and chipped edges can be repaired. If the steps are cracked through, sinking, or separating from the house, replacement is the better long-term fix.

How many steps do I need?

It depends on the height from grade to the threshold. We measure the total rise and divide it into equal steps that meet building code for rise and run.

Can you install railings?

We can set sleeves or anchors for railings during the pour and coordinate railing installation so it is done right.

Do you build steps for basement or side entries?

Yes. Basement entry steps, side-door stoops, garage steps, and deck-to-patio steps are all common projects for us.
